In an effort to increase ridership and improve service Cities Area Transit is rolling out new bus routes. The Grand Forks council got its first look at the revised system last night. CAT’s Ali Rood says the transit plan adds three new drivers and two new buses to the fleet.
CAT ridership has declined 22-percent over the past five years. Among the changes: additional buses operating past six p-m….improved connections between UND and developments near the Alerus Center…higher frequency connections…and shortened routes. The changes are expected to be in place by mid-July.
