EGF Budget

After numerous work sessions the East Grand Forks council approved without discussion a preliminary 2018 budget last night. The move will boost the local levy by ten-percent next year – although city property tax increases will be roughly half that amount. The levy will raise over four-point-nine million dollars. Compounding this year’s budget discussions has been a reduction in local government aid from the state. Final budget approval is expected in December.
