A manhunt for a Crookston homicide suspect has ended with his capture in Bloomington (MN) early this morning.

Police in Crookston began looking for the 49-year-old Eddie Frazier on Wednesday after a woman he shared a home with was found dead. An autopsy is being conducted at the U-N-D Pathology lab in Grand Forks.

Bloomington Deputy Chief Mike Hartley says agents with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension located and attempted to stop Frazier's vehicle just after 9 p.m. Hartley says as agents approached the car – shots were fired and the suspect took off – he later abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Residents in the area were urged to stay inside their homes during the on-going search.

The suspect was arrested about 3 a.m. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the officer involved shooting.

The Minnesota B-C-A and Pine to Prairie Violent Crimes Enforcement teams are assisting in the investigation.
