The Grand Forks County Commission has approved an outdoor emergency warning siren for the city of Arvilla.
County officials say the siren will be located behind the Arvilla Community Center. Activation will be controlled by the Larimore Fire Department.
Grand Forks emergency management director Kari Goelz says the gear has been ordered. It’ll take six-to-eight weeks for the equipment to arrive.
The system will be identical to the ones in Larimore, Fordville and Inkster. And the total costs of equipment and installation will come to about $22,000.
