A public hearing will be held next month on a 115-million dollar request by Altru Health to refinance existing bonds and help finance lost clinic space. Upwards of 40 to 50 million would be set aside for a bricks and mortar project – the rest for refinancing. The bonds would be issued through the City of Grand Forks – but the city assumes no liability.Altru officials continue to evaluate a long-term solution to its shuttered clinic site off Columbia Road. The facility was closed in December when structural defects were discovered. The bond hearing is set for June 19th.
