Four firms vying to run the Alerus Center in Grand Forks will meet with city leaders tomorrow (tues) to pitch why they should get a crack at running the events center building. City Administrator Todd Feland says it’s not a done deal that one of the firms will get the contract. He says the city could still go the route of hiring an executive director.

Feland says the Alerus Center Commission would like to make a decision about the management structure by the end of June.

Companies vying for the management job include: S-M-G…Spectra…VenuWorks… and The Ballantine Group.

The management of the big building has been in flux since the firing of former director Cheryl Swanson late last year.
