Despite a down year in 2017 it looks like revenues and events are trending up for the Alerus Center. At a joint council / commission meeting on Wednesday the various members got a glimpse at 2018 and beyond. The events center building is poised to turn a profit this year and next. Spectra assumed management of the Alerus midway through 2017.
A check of the numbers suggest the building will host 438 events this year – and 456 in 2019. Revenues are projected to climb 44-percent between 2016 and 2019. This year also marked the first time that the building has hosted three concerts with over 85-hundred tickets sold.
