The North Dakota Board of Higher Education has passed a resolution supporting the NDUS mission and chancellor at a special meeting – but not unanamously. The motion was drafted by board member Grant Shaft. Student member Sydney Hull said it was hard to approve a lengthy resolution when it only arrived hours before the meeting.
Board member Kari Reichert questioned the timing of the resolution.
Some said it’s would help put the recent controversy behind the board while admitting there’s still work to do. Others claimed it would be a show of support for the good work being done to improve higher education in the state.
The motion was approved on a 5-3 vote…..
