Two people were injured when the u-t-v they were in collided with a train on the west edge of grand forks wednesday morning. Grand forks police were called to the scene on the 52-hundred block of 17th avenue south shortly after eight-30 a-m. authorities say it appears 28-year old kyle Johnson of grand forks attempted to cross the rail grade and was struck by the northbound train. the vehicle was operated by the grand forks health department for mosquito control. b-n-s-f spokesperson amy mcbeth says the train was hauling rock from st-cloud (mn) to devils lake. the work train had two locomotives and 16 cars.
