GF school levy all but set

By Doug Barrett Sep 27, 2022 | 8:20 AM

The Grand Forks School Board is one vote away from adopting a 2022-23 budget that keeps the local mill levy steady.

Business Manager Brandon Baumbach says the 111 mills is unchanged from the current spending plan.  “Almost 60% of that is made up of state revenues that come in…24% local…and 17% federal.”

A closer look at the budget shows 79% goes towards employee salaries…19% for supplies…and 2% for utilities.

Final approval of the $117.7 million dollar budget is expected at the October 10th board meeting.
