The Grand Forks Library Board has been testing the waters with various groups to see if there is interest in participating in a task force to discuss upgrades to the book building. A recent report from consultants suggests it will take nearly 14-million dollars to bring the current facility up to today’s standards. Preliminary discussions have already been held with representatives of the city…school board…park district…Altru…and UND. The library board hopes to make a presentation to the Grand Forks County Board in December. Board President Brian Schill says the goal is to form the working group in early 2013.
