The alerus center is still on track to turn a profit this year. with three quarters of 2013 in the books the events center building is in the black to the tune of 784-thousand dollars. executive director Cheryl swanson says the year-end figure will depend largely on revenues generated by upcoming scheduled events and the final u-n-d football game. Alerus officials are also working on a plan to help pay back past debt to the city of grand forks. looking ahead swanson says the 2014 budget that also projects a small profit.
Swanson says next year’s concert schedule may be a bit light right now but s that could change by the end of the year…
